NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
CCL21a: Inhibits hemopoiesis and stimulates chemotaxis. Chemotactic in vitro for thymocytes and activated T-cells, but not for B-cells, macrophages, or neutrophils. Potent mesangial cell chemoattractant. Shows preferential activity towards naive T- cells. May play a role in mediating homing of lymphocytes to secondary lymphoid organs. Mice carrying an autosomal recessive mutation designated paucity of lymph node T-cells (plt) show dramatically reduced numbers of T-cells in lymph nodes, Peyer patches, and the white pulp of the spleen. Plt seems to correspond to Scya21b. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family.
Protein type: Chemokine
Cellular Component: extracellular space; intracellular
Molecular Function: CCR chemokine receptor binding; chemokine activity; chemokine receptor binding
Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; induction of positive chemotaxis; inflammatory response; lymph node development; lymphocyte chemotaxis; monocyte chemotaxis; neutrophil chemotaxis; positive regulation of GTPase activity

Product Notes
The Ccl21a ccl21a (Catalog #AAA8117183) is a Cell Lysate produced from Baculovirus-Insect Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 110aa. AAA Biotech's Ccl21a can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Ccl21a ccl21a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Met1-Gly13 3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Ccl21a, Cell Lysate" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
