A DNA sequence encoding the human GBA3 (NP_066024.1)(Met 1-Leu 469) was fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
Reconstitution
A hardcopy of COA with reconstitution instruction is sent along with the products. Please refer to it for detailed information.
Preparation and Storage
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Store it under sterile conditions at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
In general, recombinant proteins are provided as lyophilized powder which are shipped at ambient temperature. Bulk packages of recombinant proteins are provided as frozen liquid.
They are shipped out with blue ice.

Related Product Information for GBA3 active protein
Background: Cytosolic beta-glucosidase, also known as Cytosolic beta-glucosidase-like protein 1, GBA3, CBG and CBGL1 is a cytoplasm protein which belongs to theglycosyl hydrolase 1 family and Klotho subfamily. GBA3/CBGL1 is a glycosidase probably involved in the intestinal absorption and metabolism of dietary flavonoid glycosides. GBA3/CBGL1 is present in small intestine (at protein level). GBA3/CBGL1 is expressed in liver, small intestine, colon, spleen and kidney. GBA3/CBGL1 is down-regulated in renal cell carcinomas and hepatocellular carcinomas. GBA3/CBGL1 is able to hydrolyze a broad variety of glycosides including phytoestrogens, flavonols, flavones, flavanones and cyanogens. GBA3/CBGL1 possesses beta-glycosylceramidase activity and may be involved in a nonlysosomal catabolic pathway of glycosylceramide.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is an enzyme that can hydrolyze several types of glycosides. This gene is a polymorphic pseudogene, with the most common allele being the functional allele that encodes the full-length protein. Some individuals, as represented by the reference genome allele, contain a single nucleotide polymorphism that results in a premature stop codon in the coding region, and therefore this allele is pseudogenic due to the failure to produce a functional full-length protein. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2013]

Uniprot Description

GBA3: Glycosidase probably involved in the intestinal absorption and metabolism of dietary flavonoid glycosides. Able to hydrolyze a broad variety of glycosides including phytoestrogens, flavonols, flavones, flavanones and cyanogens. Possesses beta- glycosylceramidase activity and may be involved in a nonlysosomal catabolic pathway of glycosylceramide. Belongs to the glycosyl hydrolase 1 family. Klotho subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The GBA3 gba3 (Catalog #AAA8120866) is an Active Protein produced from Baculovirus-Insect Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Met1-Leu46 9. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GBA3, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
