Related Product Information for pIgR active protein
pIgR, also known as polymeric immunoglobulin receptor, is responsible for transcytosis of soluble dimeric IgAs and immune. This protein binds polymeric IgA and IgM at the basolateral surface of epithelial cells. The complex is then transported across the cell to be secreted at the apical surface. During this process, the cleavage occurs that separates the extracellular from the transmembrane segment. PIgR expression is under the strong regulation of cytokines, hormones, and pathogenic stimuli. The expression of pIgR is critically regulated by the pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-1, IL-4, TNF-alpha, and IFN-gamma. Recombinant human pIgR, fused to Histag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

Uniprot Description

This receptor binds polymeric IgA and IgM at the basolateral surface of epithelial cells. The complex is then transported across the cell to be secreted at the apical surface. During this process a cleavage occurs that separates the extracellular (known as the secretory component) from the transmembrane segment.

Product Notes

The pIgR pigr (Catalog #AAA201291) is an Active Protein produced from Baculovirus and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 19-638aa. AAA Biotech's pIgR can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE, Bioactivity. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the pIgR pigr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: KSPIF GP EEVNSVEGNS VSITCYYPPT SVNRHTRKYW CRQGARGGCI TLISSEGYVS SKYAGRANLT NFPENGTFVV NIAQLSQDDS GRYKCGLGIN SRGLSFDVSL EVSQGPGLLN DTKVYTVDLG RTVTINCPFK TENAQKRKSL YKQIGLYPVL VIDSSGYVNP NYTGRIRLDI QGTGQLLFSV VINQLRLSDA GQYLCQAGDD SNSNKKNADL QVLKPEPELV YEDLRGSVTF HCALGPEVAN VAKFLCRQSS GENCDVVVNT LGKRAPAFEG RILLNPQDKD GSFSVVITGL RKEDAGRYLC GAHSDGQLQE GSPIQAWQLF VNEESTIPRS PTVVKGVAGG SVAVLCPYNR KESKSIKYWC LWEGAQNGRC PLLVDSEGWV KAQYEGRLSL LEEPGNGTFT VILNQLTSRD AGFYWCLTNG DTLWRTTVEI KIIEGEPNLK VPGNVTAVLG ETLKVPCHFP CKFSSYEKYW CKWNNTGCQA LPSQDEGPSK AFVNCDENSR LVSLTLNLVT RADEGWYWCG VKQGHFYGET AAVYVAVEER KAAGSRDVSL AKADAAPDEK VLDSGFREIE NKAIQDPRLF AEEKAVADTR DQADGSRASV DSGSSEEQGG SSR. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "pIgR, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
