Related Product Information for IL-22 active protein
IL22, also known as interleukin-22, is a member of a group of cytokines involved the IL-10 family or IL-10 subfamily. This protein shares us of IL-10R2 in cell signaling with other members of this family, IL-10, IL-26, IL-28A/B and IL-29. It is produced by normal T cells upon anti-CD3 stimulation and initiates innate immune responses against bacterial pathogens especially in epithelial cells such as respiratory and gut epithelial cells. Also, it can be produced by Th17 cells and play a role in the coordinated response of both adaptive and innate immune systems. Biological activity of IL-22 is the functional receptor complex consists of two receptor subunits, IL-22R and IL-10R and is further regulated by interactions with a soluble binding protein, IL-22BP, which shares sequence similarity with an extracellular region of IL-22R1. Recombinant human IL22, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

NCBI Description

This gene is a member of the IL10 family of cytokines that mediate cellular inflammatory responses. The encoded protein functions in antimicrobial defense at mucosal surfaces and in tissue repair. This protein also has pro-inflammatory properties and plays a role in in the pathogenesis of several intestinal diseases. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2018]

Product Notes

The IL-22 il22 (Catalog #AAA201107) is an Active Protein produced from Baculovirus and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 34-179aa. AAA Biotech's IL-22 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Bioactivity, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL-22 il22 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: ADPAPISSHC RLDKSNFQQP YITNRTFMLA KEASLADNNT DVRLIGEKLF HGVSMSERCY LMKQVLNFTL EEVLFPQSDR FQPYMQEVVP FLARLSNRLS TCHIEGDDLH IQRNVQKLKD TVKKLGESGE IKAIGELDLL FMSLRNACIH HHHHH. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IL-22, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
