Human apolipoprotein A-II ELISA Kit | APOA2 elisa kit
Human Apolipoprotein A2, apo-A2 ELISA Kit
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV% is less than 10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with anantibody specific to apo-A2. Standards or samples are then added to theappropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated polyclonalantibody preparation specific for apo-A2 and Avidin conjugated toHorseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well andincubated. Then a TMB (3,3',5,5' tetramethyl-benzidine) substrate solutionis added to each well. Only those wells that contain apo-A2,biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit achange in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by theaddition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measuredspectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. Theconcentration of apo-A2 in the samples is then determined by comparingthe O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes apolipoprotein (apo-) A-II, which is the second most abundant protein of the high density lipoprotein particles. The protein is found in plasma as a monomer, homodimer, or heterodimer with apolipoprotein D. Defects in this gene may result in apolipoprotein A-II deficiency or hypercholesterolemia. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
Function: May stabilize HDL (high density lipoprotein) structure by its association with lipids, and affect the HDL metabolism.

Product Notes
The Human APOA2 apoa2 (Catalog #AAA704270) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA704270 ELISA Kit recognizes Human APOA2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "apolipoprotein A-II, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
