Related Product Information for ALKB3 recombinant protein
Dioxygenase that repairs alkylated DNA containing 1-methyladenine (1meA) and 3-methylcytosine (3meC) by oxidative dethylation. Has a strong preference for single-stranded DNA. Able to process alkylated 3mC within double-stranded regions via its interaction with ASCC3, which promotes DNA unwinding to generate single-stranded substrate needed for ALKHB3. May also act on RNA. Requires molecular oxygen, alpha-ketoglutarate and iron.

Uniprot Description

ALKBH3: Dioxygenase that repairs alkylated DNA containing 1- methyladenine (1meA) and 3-methylcytosine (3meC) by oxidative demethylation. Belongs to the alkB family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The ALKB3 alkbh3 (Catalog #AAA9421327) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is Full Length of isoform 2, 1-170aa. The Recombinant Human Alpha-ketoglutarate-dependent dioxygenase alkB homolog 3 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Alpha-ketoglutarate-dependent dioxygenase alkB homolog 3, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
