Related Product Information for ADRbetaK1 elisa kit
Principle of the Assay: This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti- ADRbeta K1 antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti- ADRbetaK1 antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRPStreptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the ADRbetaK1 amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of ADRbetaK1 can be calculated.

NCBI Description

The product of this gene phosphorylates the beta-2-adrenergic receptor and appears to mediate agonist-specific desensitization observed at high agonist concentrations. This protein is an ubiquitous cytosolic enzyme that specifically phosphorylates the activated form of the beta-adrenergic and related G-protein-coupled receptors. Abnormal coupling of beta-adrenergic receptor to G protein is involved in the pathogenesis of the failing heart. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

GRK2: a ubiquitous protein kinase of the GRK family. Phosphorylates the beta-2-adrenergic receptor and related G-protein-coupled receptors. Appears to mediate agonist-specific desensitization observed at high agonist concentrations. Expression level is consistently elevated in chronic human heart failure. Mouse models of severe heart failure have been used to demonstrate that inhibition of BARK1 with a peptide inhibitor is sufficient to increase mean survival, reduce dialation and improve cardiac function.

Product Notes

The Rat ADRbetaK1 adrbk1 (Catalog #AAA762602) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA762602 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat ADRbetaK1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Adrenergic Receptor Beta Kinase 1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
