Related Product Information for ENTPD2 active protein
CD39L1, also known as ENTPD2 and NTPDase2, is an ecto-nucleotidase belonging to the CD39 family. It is found on the surface of vascular adventitial cells and accessory vascular cells. CD39L1 is a Ca2+- and Mg2+-dependent enzyme that activates platelets by preferentially converting ATP to ADP. CD39L1 plays a role in regulating thrombosis and inflammation. It is considered to be a therapeutic target for thromboregulation and the treatment of vascular inflammation.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is the type 2 enzyme of the ecto-nucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase family (E-NTPDase). E-NTPDases are a family of ecto-nucleosidases that hydrolyze 5'-triphosphates. This ecto-ATPase is an integral membrane protein. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

ENTPD2: In the nervous system, could hydrolyze ATP and other nucleotides to regulate purinergic neurotransmission. Hydrolyzes ADP only to a marginal extent. The order of activity with different substrates is ATP > GTP > CTP = ITP > UTP >> ADP = UDP. Belongs to the GDA1/CD39 NTPase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Extracellular matrix; Hydrolase; Nucleotide Metabolism - purine; Membrane protein, multi-pass; EC 3.6.1.-; Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 9q34

Cellular Component: endoplasmic reticulum membrane; integral to membrane; plasma membrane; basal lamina

Molecular Function: nucleoside-diphosphatase activity; nucleoside-triphosphatase activity; ATP binding

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; platelet activation; purine ribonucleoside diphosphate catabolic process

Product Notes

The ENTPD2 entpd2 (Catalog #AAA636344) is an Active Protein and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. SDS-PAGE: 60-80kD, reducing conditions. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ENTPD2 entpd2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD39L1, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
