Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for NCAM1 elisa kit
Description: This Mouse Neural cell adhesion molecule 1 (NCAM1) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate NCAM1 in samples. An antibody specific for NCAM1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any NCAM1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for NCAM1 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of NCAM1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: NCAM1 encodes a cell adhesion protein which is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. The Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule 1 is involved in cell-to-cell interactions as well as cell-matrix interactions during development and differentiation. The encoded protein has been shown to be involved in development of the nervous system, and for cells involved in the expansion of T cells and dendritic cells which play an important role in immune surveillance. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

Product Notes

The Mouse NCAM1 ncam1 (Catalog #AAA9717417) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9717417 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse NCAM1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule 1 (NCAM1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
