Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for WARS elisa kit
Description: This Human Tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase (WARS) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate WARS in samples. An antibody specific for WARS has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any WARS present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for WARS is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of WARS bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: Tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase, cytoplasmic is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the WARS gene,Aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases catalyze the aminoacylation of tRNA by their cognate amino acid. Because of their central role in linking amino acids with nucleotide triplets contained in tRNAs, aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases are thought to be among the first proteins that appeared in evolution. Two forms of tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase exist, a cytoplasmic form, named WARS, and a mitochondrial form, named WARS2. Tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase (WARS) catalyzes the aminoacylation of tRNA(trp) with tryptophan and is induced by interferon. Tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase belongs to the class I tRNA synthetase family.

NCBI Description

Aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases catalyze the aminoacylation of tRNA by their cognate amino acid. Four transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

WARS: Isoform 1, isoform 2 and T1-TrpRS have aminoacylation activity while T2-TrpRS lacks it. Isoform 2, T1-TrpRS and T2-TrpRS possess angiostatic activity whereas isoform 1 lacks it. T2-TrpRS inhibits fluid shear stress-activated responses of endothelial cells. Regulates ERK, Akt, and eNOS activation pathways that are associated with angiogenesis, cytoskeletal reorganization and shear stress-responsive gene expression. Belongs to the class-I aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Amino Acid Metabolism - tryptophan; Translation; Ligase; EC 6.1.1.2

Product Notes

The Human WARS wars (Catalog #AAA9713710) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9713710 ELISA Kit recognizes Human WARS. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Tryptophanyl-tRNA Synthetase (WARS), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
