Human NEDD4-Like E3 Ubiquitin-Protein Ligase WWP2 (WWP2) ELISA Kit | WWP2 elisa kit
Human NEDD4-Like E3 Ubiquitin-Protein Ligase WWP2 (WWP2) ELISA Kit
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Background: WWP2 encodes a member of the NEDD4-like protein family. The family of proteins is known to possess ubiquitin-protein ligase activity. The encoded protein contains 4 tandem WW domains. The WW domain is a protein motif consisting of 35 to 40 amino acids and is characterized by 4 conserved aromatic residues. The WW domain may mediate specific protein-protein interactions. Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene. The deduced 870-amino acid protein has a calculated molecular mass of 98.7 kD and shares 96% identity with human WWP2. Northern blot analysis detected 2 Wwp2 transcripts, with highest expression in testis, followed by spleen, kidney, and liver.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the Nedd4 family of E3 ligases, which play an important role in protein ubiquitination. The encoded protein contains four WW domains and may play a role in multiple processes including chondrogenesis and the regulation of oncogenic signaling pathways via interactions with Smad proteins and the tumor suppressor PTEN. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene, and a pseudogene of this gene is located on the long arm of chromosome 10. Uniprot Description
WWP2: E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase which accepts ubiquitin from an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme in the form of a thioester and then directly transfers the ubiquitin to targeted substrates. Polyubiquitinates POU5F1 by 'Lys-63'-linked conjugation and promotes it to proteasomal degradation; in embryonic stem cells (ESCs) the ubiquitination is proposed to regulate POU5F1 protein level. Ubiquitinates EGR2 and promotes it to proteasomal degradation; in T-cells the ubiquitination inhibits activation- induced cell death. Ubiquitinates SLC11A2; the ubiquitination is enhanced by presence of NDFIP1 and NDFIP2. Ubiquitinates RPB1 and promotes it to proteasomal degradation.

Product Notes
The Human WWP2 wwp2 (Catalog #AAA9713685) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9713685 ELISA Kit recognizes Human WWP2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NEDD4-Like E3 Ubiquitin-Protein Ligase WWP2 (WWP2), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
