ELISA(peptide): 1:20000-1:40000
Immunogen
A synthesized peptide derived from Human MYOCD.
Conjugation
Unconjugated
Similarity
The DAD domain regulates activation via by an autoinhibitory interaction with the N-terminus. This autoinhibition is released upon competitive binding of an activated GTPase. The release of DAD allows the FH2 domain to then nucleate and elongate nonbranched actin filaments (By similarity). Belongs to the formin homology family.
Post Translational Modifications
Myristoylation mediates membrane localization and blebbing.
Subunit Structure
Interacts with RAC1, PFN1 and PFN2 (By similarity). Interacts (activated by RAC1) with SRGAP2 (via SH3 domain); regulates the actin filament severing activity of FMNL1.
Tissue Specificity
Expressed in heart, brain, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney and pancreas.
Function
May play a role in the control of cell motility and survival of macrophages (By similarity). Plays a role in the regulation of cell morphology and cytoskeletal organization. Required in the cortical actin filament dynamics and cell shape.
Preparation and Storage
Store at -20 degree C. Stable for 12 months from date of receipt.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a formin-related protein. Formin-related proteins have been implicated in morphogenesis, cytokinesis, and cell polarity. An alternative splice variant has been described but its full length sequence has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

FMNL1: May play a role in the control of cell motility and survival of macrophages. Plays a role in the regulation of cell morphology and cytoskeletal organization. Required in the cortical actin filament dynamics and cell shape. Belongs to the formin homology family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17q21

Cellular Component: membrane; plasma membrane; phagocytic vesicle; cell cortex; cytosol

Molecular Function: actin filament binding; protein binding; Rac GTPase binding; GTPase activating protein binding; profilin binding

Biological Process: substrate-bound cell migration; regulation of cell shape; actin filament severing; cortical actin cytoskeleton organization and biogenesis

Product Notes

The FMNL1 fmnl1 (Catalog #AAA9629227) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The FMNL1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's FMNL1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA)(peptide). ELISA(peptide): 1:20000-1:40000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FMNL1 fmnl1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FMNL1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
