Rabbit anti-Human CEP68 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-CEP68 antibody
CEP68 Antibody
Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
Subunit Structure: Interacts with CNTLN; the interaction recruits CEP68 to the centrosome (PubMed:24554434). Interacts with the SCF(FBXW11) complex which contains SKP1, CUL1 and FBXW11; the interaction is probably mediated by FBXW11 and the complex also contains CDK5RAP2 and PCNT (PubMed:25503564). Also interacts with F-box protein BTRC (PubMed:25704143, PubMed:25503564). Interacts with serine/threonine-protein kinase PLK1; the interaction leads to phosphorylation of CEP68 and its subsequent degradation (PubMed:25503564). Interacts with NEK2; the interaction leads to phosphorylation of CEP68 (PubMed:24554434).
Post-translational Modifications: Phosphorylation by PLK1 is required for binding to BTRC in prometaphase (PubMed:25503564). Phosphorylated directly or indirectly by NEK2 (PubMed:24554434). NEK2-mediated phosphorylation promotes CEP68 dissociation from the centrosome and its degradation at the onset of mitosis (PubMed:25704143). Ubiquitinated and targeted for proteasomal degradation in early mitosis by the SCF(BTRC) and/or SCF(FBXW11) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complexes (PubMed:25704143, PubMed:25503564). Degradation is complete by prometaphase and is required for removal of CDK5RAP2 from the peripheral pericentriolar material and subsequent centriole separation (PubMed:25503564).
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Predicted: 82 kDa
Uniprot Description
Involved in maintenance of centrosome cohesion, probably as part of a linker structure which prevents centrosome splitting (PubMed:18042621). Required for localization of CDK5RAP2 to the centrosome during interphase (PubMed:24554434, PubMed:25503564).

Product Notes
The CEP68 cep68 (Catalog #AAA9609681) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CEP68 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CEP68 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:1000-3000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CEP68 cep68 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CEP68, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
