Related Product Information for anti-LAMB3 antibody
Description: Binding to cells via a high affinity receptor, laminin is thought to mediate the attachment, migration and organization of cells into tissues during embryonic development by interacting with other extracellular matrix components.
Subunit Structure: Laminin is a complex glycoprotein, consisting of three different polypeptide chains (alpha, beta, gamma), which are bound to each other by disulfide bonds into a cross-shaped molecule comprising one long and three short arms with globules at each end. Beta-3 is a subunit of laminin-5 (laminin-332 or epiligrin/kalinin/nicein). Interacts with ECM1.
Similarity: The alpha-helical domains I and II are thought to interact with other laminin chains to form a coiled coil structure.Domain VI is globular.

NCBI Description

The product encoded by this gene is a laminin that belongs to a family of basement membrane proteins. This protein is a beta subunit laminin, which together with an alpha and a gamma subunit, forms laminin-5. Mutations in this gene cause epidermolysis bullosa junctional Herlitz type, and generalized atrophic benign epidermolysis bullosa, diseases that are characterized by blistering of the skin. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode the same protein have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Binding to cells via a high affinity receptor, laminin is thought to mediate the attachment, migration and organization of cells into tissues during embryonic development by interacting with other extracellular matrix components.

Product Notes

The LAMB3 lamb3 (Catalog #AAA9603896) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The LAMB3 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's LAMB3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LAMB3 lamb3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "LAMB3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
