Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse ADAM12 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-ADAM12 antibody
ADAM12 Antibody
IHC: 1:50-1:200
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(MBS9603245 at 1/100 staining Human pancreatic cancer by IHC-P.The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The sample was then blocked and incubated with the primary antibody at 4°C overnight. An HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit antibody was used as the secondary antibody.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of extracts from Mouse liver, using ADAM12 Ab. The lane on the left was treated with blocking peptide.)
Similarity: The cysteine-rich domain supports cell adhesion through syndecans and triggers signaling events that lead to beta-1 integrin-dependent cell spreading. In carcinomas cells the binding of this domain to syndecans does not allow the integrin-mediated cell spreading. The conserved cysteine present in the cysteine-switch motif binds the catalytic zinc ion, thus inhibiting the enzyme. The dissociation of the cysteine from the zinc ion upon the activation-peptide release activates the enzyme.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of a family of proteins that are structurally related to snake venom disintegrins and have been implicated in a variety of biological processes involving cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, including fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis. Expression of this gene has been used as a maternal serum marker for pre-natal development. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Shorter isoforms are secreted, while longer isoforms are membrane-bound form. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2014]
Uniprot Description
Involved in skeletal muscle regeneration, specifically at the onset of cell fusion. Also involved in macrophage-derived giant cells (MGC) and osteoclast formation from mononuclear precursors ().

Product Notes
The ADAM12 adam12 (Catalog #AAA9603245) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ADAM12 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ADAM12 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ADAM12 adam12 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ADAM12, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
