NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the keratin gene family. This type I hair keratin is an acidic protein which heterodimerizes with type II keratins to form hair and nails. The type I hair keratins are clustered in a region of chromosome 17q12-q21 and have the same direction of transcription. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The KRT35 krt35 (Catalog #AAA9423893) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is Full Length, 1-455aa. The Recombinant Human Keratin, type I cuticular Ha5 (KRT35) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Keratin, type I cuticular Ha5 (KRT35), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
