NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a transcription factor that interacts with methyl-CpG-binding protein-2 (MBD2), a component of the MeCP1 histone deacetylase (HDAC) complex, and plays a role in DNA methylation and transcription repression. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]
Uniprot Description
MIZF: a transcriptional regulator of cell cycle-controlled histone H4 genes at the onset of S phase. Also activates transcription of the ATM and PRKDC genes. A histone H4-specific transcriptional regulator that associates with the cell cycle control element in the conserved proximal promoter regions of H4 genes. Interacts with NPAT to coactivate H4 gene transcription at the G1/S phase transition in response to cyclin E/CDK2 signaling. HiNF-P/NPAT colocalize to Cajal bodies in a cell cycle-specific manner. Disruption of the HiNF-P/NPAT interaction inhibits histone H4 gene expression at G1/S. Binds methyl-CpG-binding protein (MeCP2) and a histone deacetylase complex.

Product Notes
The MIZF hinfp (Catalog #AAA9407341) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MIZF Antibody reacts with Human, Rat, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MIZF can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). ELISA: 1:20000-1:80000 WB: 1:200-1:1000 IHC: 1:100-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MIZF hinfp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MIZF, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
