Human MAP kinase-activated protein kinase 5, MAPKAPK5 ELISA Kit
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a tumor suppressor and member of the serine/threonine kinase family. In response to cellular stress and proinflammatory cytokines, this kinase is activated through its phosphorylation by MAP kinases including MAPK1/ERK, MAPK14/p38-alpha, and MAPK11/p38-beta. The encoded protein is found in the nucleus but translocates to the cytoplasm upon phosphorylation and activation. This kinase phosphorylates heat shock protein HSP27 at its physiologically relevant sites. Two alternately spliced transcript variants of this gene encoding distinct isoforms have been reported. Product Notes
The Human MAPKAPK5 mapkapk5 (Catalog #AAA9318402) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9318402 ELISA Kit recognizes Human MAPKAPK5. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "mitogen-activated protein kinase-activated protein kinase 5, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
