Related Product Information for Cdk13 blocking peptide
Cyclin-dependent kinase which displays CTD kinase activity and is required for RNA splicing. Has CTD kinase activity by hyperphosphorylating the C-terminal heptapeptide repeat domain (CTD) of the largest RNA polymerase II subunit RPB1, thereby acting as a key regulator of transcription elongation. Required for RNA splicing, probably by phosphorylating SRSF1/SF2. Required during hematopoiesis.

Uniprot Description

CDK13: a CMGC protein kinase of the CDK family. It has been reported to interact with L-type cyclins. Overexpression of CDC2L5 constructs disturbs constitutive splicing and switches alternative splice site selection in vivo suggesting that it may regulate alternative splicing. It has unusually large N- and C-termini and is ubiquitously expressed in many tissues. Two alternatively spliced human isoforms have been described.

Protein type: Kinase, protein; RNA splicing; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; EC 2.7.11.23; Cell cycle regulation; EC 2.7.11.22; Protein kinase, Ser/Thr (non-receptor); Protein kinase, CMGC; CMGC group; CDK family; CRK7 subfamily; CDK/CRK7 subfamily

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; extracellular space; Golgi apparatus; nuclear cyclin-dependent protein kinase holoenzyme complex; nuclear speck; nucleoplasm

Molecular Function: cyclin binding; RNA polymerase subunit kinase activity

Biological Process: alternative nuclear mRNA splicing, via spliceosome; hemopoiesis

Product Notes

The Cdk13 cdk13 (Catalog #AAA9221259) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cdk13, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
