GRID1 blocking peptide

GRID1 Antibody (C-term) Blocking peptide

Gene Names
GRID1; GluD1
Synonyms
GRID1; GRID1 Antibody (C-term) Blocking peptide; Glutamate receptor ionotropic; delta-1; GluD1; GluR delta-1 subunit; KIAA1220; GRID1 blocking peptide
Ordering
Specificity
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody was selected from the C-term region of GRID1. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Form/Format
Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.
Sequence Length
1009
Cellular Location
Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Cell junction, synapse, postsynaptic cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a subunit of glutamate receptor channels. These channels mediate most of the fast excitatory synaptic transmission in the central nervous system and play key roles in synaptic plasticity.[provided by RefSeq, Jan 2009]

Uniprot Description

GluR-delta1: Receptor for glutamate. L-glutamate acts as an excitatory neurotransmitter at many synapses in the central nervous system. The postsynaptic actions of Glu are mediated by a variety of receptors that are named according to their selective agonists. Belongs to the glutamate-gated ion channel (TC 1.A.10.1) family. GRID1 subfamily.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, misc.; Channel, calcium; Membrane protein, multi-pass; Channel, ligand-gated

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 10q22

Product Notes

The GRID1 grid1 (Catalog #AAA9220077) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GRID1, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
