APCDD1 Blocking Peptide | APCDD1 (HGNC:15718) blocking peptide

APCDD1 Antibody (N-term) Blocking peptide

Gene Names
APCDD1; HHS; HTS; B7323; HYPT1; DRAPC1; FP7019
Synonyms
APCDD1; APCDD1 Antibody (N-term) Blocking peptide; Protein APCDD1; Adenomatosis polyposis coli down-regulated 1 protein; APCDD1 (HGNC:15718) blocking peptide
Ordering
Specificity
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody was selected from the N-term region of APCDD1. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Form/Format
Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.
Sequence Length
514
Cellular Location
Cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein
Tissue Location
Abundantly expressed in heart, pancreas, prostate and ovary. Moderately expressed in lung, liver, kidney, spleen, thymus, colon and peripheral lymphocytes. Abundantly expressed in both the epidermal and dermal compartments of the hair follicle. Present in scalp skin Highly expressed in the hair follicle dermal papilla, the matrix, and the hair shaft (at protein level).
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C.
Related Product Information for APCDD1 (HGNC:15718) blocking peptide
Negative regulator of the Wnt signaling pathway. Inhibits Wnt signaling in a cell-autonomous manner and functions upstream of beta-catenin. May act via its interaction with Wnt and LRP proteins. May play a role in colorectal tumorigenesis.

NCBI Description

This locus encodes an inhibitor of the Wnt signaling pathway. Mutations at this locus have been associated with hereditary hypotrichosis simplex. Increased expression of this gene may also be associated with colorectal carcinogenesis.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2010]

Uniprot Description

APCDD1: a single-pass type I membrane protein. Probably plays a role in colorectal tumorigenesis. Directly activated downstream targets of the WNT/beta-catenin pathway. Transcriptional target of beta-catenin/T-cell (Tcf) factor and may enhance cellular proliferation of tumor cells. Down-regulated by wild-type the adenomatosis polyposis coli (APC) protein. Elevated in many primary colon cancer tissues.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 18p11.22

Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane

Molecular Function: Wnt-protein binding

Biological Process: hair follicle development; negative regulation of Wnt receptor signaling pathway

Disease: Hypotrichosis 1

Product Notes

The APCDD1 (HGNC:15718) apcdd1 (Catalog #AAA9219860) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "APCDD1, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
