Related Product Information for anti-TSPAN3 antibody
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the
transmembrane 4 superfamily, also known as the tetraspanin family.
Most of these members are cell-surface proteins that are
characterized by the presence of four hydrophobic domains. The
proteins mediate signal transduction events that play a role in the
regulation of cell development, activation, growth and motility.
The use of alternate polyadenylation sites has been found for this
gene.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, also known as the tetraspanin family. Most of these members are cell-surface proteins that are characterized by the presence of four hydrophobic domains. The proteins mediate signal transduction events that play a role in the regulation of cell development, activation, growth and motility. The use of alternate polyadenylation sites has been found for this gene. Multiple alternative transcripts encoding different isoforms have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2009]

Uniprot Description

TSPAN3: a multi-pass membrane protein. Member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, also known as the tetraspanin family. These proteins apparently mediate signal transduction events that play a role in the regulation of cell development, activation, growth and motility. This protein regulates the proliferation and migration of oligodendrocytes, a process essential for normal myelination and repair. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; Cell surface; Membrane protein, integral; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 15q24.3

Cellular Component: integral to membrane

Product Notes

The TSPAN3 tspan3 (Catalog #AAA9211447) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 90-117. The TSPAN3 Antibody (Center) reacts with Human, mouse (Predicted Reactivity: Bovine) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TSPAN3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). WB~~1:1000 IHC-p~~1:50~100 fc~~1:10~50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TSPAN3 tspan3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TSPAN3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
