Rabbit anti-Human CA1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-CA1 antibody
CA1 Antibody (N-term)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of CA1 (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal CA1 Antibody (N-term). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected (Lane 2) with the CA1 gene.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(CA1 Antibody (N-term) immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human stomach tissue followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of CA1 Antibody (N-term) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(CA1 Antibody (N-term) flow cytometric analysis of 293 cells (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
metalloenzymes that catalyze the reversible hydration of carbon
dioxide. They participate in a variety of biological processes,
including respiration, calcification, acid-base balance, bone
resorption, and the formation of aqueous humor, cerebrospinal
fluid, saliva, and gastric acid. They show extensive diversity in
tissue distribution and in their subcellular localization. CA1 is
closely linked to CA2 and CA3 genes on chromosome 8, and it encodes
a cytosolic protein which is found at the highest level in
erythrocytes. Variants of this gene have been described in some
populations. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the
same protein, have been identified. Transcript variants of CA1
utilizing alternative polyA_sites have been described in
literature.

NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Carbonic anhydrases (CAs) are a large family of zinc metalloenzymes that catalyze the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide. They participate in a variety of biological processes, including respiration, calcification, acid-base balance, bone resorption, and the formation of aqueous humor, cerebrospinal fluid, saliva and gastric acid. They show extensive diversity in tissue distribution and in their subcellular localization. This CA1 gene is closely linked to the CA2 and CA3 genes on chromosome 8. It encodes a cytosolic protein that is found at the highest level in erythrocytes. Allelic variants of this gene have been described in some populations. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, May 2014]

Product Notes
The CA1 ca1 (Catalog #AAA9207299) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 60-90. The CA1 Antibody (N-term) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CA1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CA1 ca1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CA1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
