NCBI Description

Cofactor C is one of four proteins (cofactors A, D, E, and C) involved in the pathway leading to correctly folded beta-tubulin from folding intermediates. Cofactors A and D are believed to play a role in capturing and stabilizing beta-tubulin intermediates in a quasi-native confirmation. Cofactor E binds to the cofactor D/beta-tubulin complex; interaction with cofactor C then causes the release of beta-tubulin polypeptides that are committed to the native state. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

TBCC: Tubulin-folding protein; involved in the final step of the tubulin folding pathway. Belongs to the TBCC family.

Product Notes

The TBCC tbcc (Catalog #AAA8564954) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TBCC reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TBCC, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
