Background/Introduction: Estrogen Receptor is a nuclear hormone receptor. The steroid hormones and their receptors are involved in the regulation of eukaryotic gene expression and affect cellular proliferation and differentiation in target tissues. Ligand-dependent nuclear transactivation involves either direct homodimer binding to a palindromic estrogen response element (ERE) sequence or association with other DNA-binding transcription factors, such as AP-1/c-Jun, c-Fos, ATF-2, Sp1 and Sp3, to mediate ERE-independent signaling. Ligand binding induces a conformational change allowing subsequent or combinatorial association with multiprotein coactivator complexes through LXXLL motifs of their respective components. Mutual transrepression occurs between the estrogen receptor (ER) and NF-kappa-B in a cell-type specific manner. ER-alpha ELISA kit is a sandwich ELISA assay for the quantitative measurement of human ER-alpha in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants. The density of color is proportional to the amount of human ER-alpha captured from the samples.

Product Notes

The Human ERalpha esr1 (Catalog #AAA846743) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA846743 ELISA Kit recognizes Human ERalpha. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Estrogen Receptor (ERalpha), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
