NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
PDGFB: Growth factor that plays an essential role in the regulation of embryonic development, cell proliferation, cell migration, survival and chemotaxis. Potent mitogen for cells of mesenchymal origin. Required for normal proliferation and recruitment of pericytes and vascular smooth muscle cells in the central nervous system, skin, lung, heart and placenta. Required for normal blood vessel development, and for normal development of kidney glomeruli. Plays an important role in wound healing. Signaling is modulated by the formation of heterodimers with PDGFA. A chromosomal aberration involving PDGFB is found in dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans. Translocation t(17;22)(q22;q13) with PDGFB. Belongs to the PDGF/VEGF growth factor family.

Product Notes
The PDGF-BB pdgfb (Catalog #AAA840428) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PDGF-BB Antibody reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PDGF-BB can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Western blot analysis (0.5-4 ug/ml). Recombinant murine PDGF-BB can be used as a positive control. However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PDGF-BB pdgfb for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PDGF-BB, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
