SCAMP5 sirna
SCAMP5 siRNA (Mouse)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the Scamp (secretory carrier membrane protein) family. The encoded protein may be involved in neuronal vesicle trafficking. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2014]
Uniprot Description
SCAMP5: Required for the calcium-dependent exocytosis of signal sequence-containing cytokines such as CCL5. Probably acts in cooperation with the SNARE machinery. May play a role in accumulation of expanded polyglutamine (polyQ) protein huntingtin (HTT) in case of endoplasmic reticulum stress by inhibiting the endocytosis pathway. Belongs to the SCAMP family. SCAMP5 subfamily. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Membrane protein, multi-pass
Cellular Component: Golgi apparatus; recycling endosome membrane; integral to membrane; Golgi membrane; SNARE complex; synaptic vesicle; membrane; plasma membrane; trans-Golgi network membrane; synapse; cytoplasmic vesicle; cell junction; endosome
Biological Process: positive regulation of calcium ion-dependent exocytosis; protein transport; exocytosis; transport; negative regulation of endocytosis; positive regulation of cytokine secretion

Product Notes
The SCAMP5 scamp5 (Catalog #AAA8240862) is a siRNA produced from Synthetic and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SCAMP5 siRNA (Mouse) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SCAMP5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, RNA Interference (RNAi). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SCAMP5 scamp5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SCAMP5, siRNA" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
