Applicable Applications for IMPG2 sirna
RNA Interference (RNAi)
Quality Control
Oligonucleotide synthesis is monitored base by base through trityl analysis to ensure appropriate coupling efficiency. The oligo is subsequently purified by affinity-solid phase extraction. The annealed RNA duplex is further analyzed by mass spectrometry to verify the exact composition of the duplex. Each lot is compared to the previous lot by mass spectrometry to ensure maximum lot-to-lot consistency.
Directions for Use
We recommends transfection with 100 nM siRNA 48 to 72 hours prior to cell lysis. Before resuspending, briefly centrifuge the tube to ensure the lyophilized siRNA is at the bottom of the tube. Resuspend the siRNA oligos to an appropriate concentration with DEPC water. For each vial, suitable for 250 transfections in 24 well plate (20 pmol for each well).
Components
We offer pre-designed sets of 3 different target-specific siRNA oligo duplexes of human IMPG2 gene. Each vial contains 5 nmol of lyophilized siRNA. The duplexes can be transfected individually or pooled together to achieve knockdown of the target gene, which is most commonly assessed by qPCR or western blot. Our siRNA oligos are also chemically modified (2'-OMe) at no extra charge for increased stability and enhanced knockdown in vitro and in vivo.
Preparation and Storage
Shipped at 4 degree C. Store at -20 degree C for one year.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene binds chondroitin sulfate and hyaluronan and is a proteoglycan. The encoded protein plays a role in the organization of the interphotoreceptor matrix and may promote the growth and maintenance of the light-sensitive photoreceptor outer segment. Defects in this gene are a cause of retinitis pigmentosa type 56 and maculopathy, IMPG2-related.[provided by RefSeq, Mar 2011]

Uniprot Description

IMPG2: Chondroitin sulfate- and hyaluronan-binding proteoglycan involved in the organization of interphotoreceptor matrix; may participate in the maturation and maintenance of the light- sensitive photoreceptor outer segment. Binds heparin. Defects in IMPG2 are the cause of retinitis pigmentosa type 56 (RP56). RP56 is a retinal dystrophy belonging to the group of pigmentary retinopathies. Retinitis pigmentosa is characterized by retinal pigment deposits visible on fundus examination and primary loss of rod photoreceptor cells followed by secondary loss of cone photoreceptors. Patients typically have night vision blindness and loss of midperipheral visual field. As their condition progresses, they lose their far peripheral visual field and eventually central vision as well. Defects in IMPG2 are the cause of maculopathy IMPG2- related (MACLP-IMPG2). MACLP-IMPG2 is a mild maculopathy characterized by full-field electroretinogram responses within normal limits, normal color vision, elevation of the photoreceptor layer in the foveal region and mild nuclear sclerosis.

Product Notes

The IMPG2 impg2 (Catalog #AAA8226670) is a siRNA produced from Synthetic and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IMPG2 siRNA (Human) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's IMPG2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, RNA Interference (RNAi). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IMPG2 impg2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IMPG2, siRNA" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
