Reconstitution
A hardcopy of COA with reconstitution instruction is sent along with the products. Please refer to it for detailed information.
Activity
1. Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA.
2. Immobilized human VEGFR3-His at 10ug/mL (100uL/well) can bind mouse Fc-VEGFD. The EC50 of mouse Fc-VEGFD is 49ng/mL.
3. Immobilized mouse VEGFR3-His  at 10ug/mL (100uL/well) can bind mouse Fc-VEGFD. The EC50 of mouse Fc-VEGFD is 44ng/mL.
Preparation and Storage
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Store it under sterile conditions at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
In general, recombinant proteins are provided as lyophilized powder which are shipped at ambient temperature. Bulk packages of recombinant proteins are provided as frozen liquid.
They are shipped out with blue ice.

Related Product Information for VEGFD active protein
Background: Vascular endothelial growth factor D (VEGF-D), also known as C-fos induced growth factor (FIGF), belongs to the platelet-derived growth factor/vascular endothelial growth factor (PDGF/VEGF) family. FIGF protein is active in angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis, and endothelial cell growth. FIGF protein is secreted as a non-covelent homodimer in an antiparallel fashion. Human FIGF protein is expressed in adult lung, heart, muscle, and small intestine, and is most abundantly expressed in fetal lungs and skin. FIGF protein is structurally and functionally similar to VEGF-C. Therefore, FIGF protein binds and activates VEGFR-2 (Flk1) and VEGFR-3 (Flt4) receptors, and may particularly be involved in cancers, such as breast cancer, epithelial ovarian carcinoma and so on.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) family that acts as a ligand for vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 3. Signalling through this protein is important for growth and development of endothelial and vascular tissue. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, May 2015]

Uniprot Description

Growth factor active in angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis and endothelial cell growth, stimulating their proliferation and migration and also has effects on the permeability of blood vessels. May function in the formation of the venous and lymphatic vascular systems during embryogenesis, and also in the maintenance of differentiated lymphatic endothelium in adults. Binds and activates VEGFR-3 (Flt4) receptor.

Product Notes

The VEGFD vegfd (Catalog #AAA8122569) is an Active Protein produced from HEK293 Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Phe98-Ser2 06. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "VEGFD, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
