NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
Function: Cell surface GPI-bound ligand for Eph receptors, a family of receptor tyrosine kinases which are crucial for migration, repulsion and adhesion during neuronal, vascular and epithelial development. Binds promiscuously Eph receptors residing on adjacent cells, leading to contact-dependent bidirectional signaling into neighboring cells. May play a role in the interaction between activated B-lymphocytes and dendritic cells in tonsils
By similarity.
Subcellular location: Cell membrane; Lipid-anchor › GPI-anchor
By similarity.
Sequence similarities: Belongs to the ephrin family.Contains 1 ephrin RBD (ephrin receptor-binding) domain.

Product Notes
The EFNA4 efna4 (Catalog #AAA8116728) is a Cell Lysate produced from HEK293 Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 162aa. AAA Biotech's Ephrin A4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the EFNA4 efna4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Met1-Gly17 6. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Ephrin A4, Cell Lysate" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
