Related Product Information for anti-NOVA1 antibody
Alternative splicing of pre-mRNAs plays an important role in generating biological and functional diversity. NOVA1 (neuro-oncological ventral antigen 1) is a neuron-specific RNA binding-protein and belongs to the Nova family. NOVA1 controls the alternative processing of a wide array of mRNAs important for synaptic activity. It is essential for the proper development of the mammalian motor system and the survival of motoneurons. In vessel endothelial cells, NOVA2 is essential for angiogenesis, while in adipocytes, NOVA1 contributes to regulation of thermogenesis and obesity. In many cancers, NOVA1 and also NOVA2, by interacting with specific miRNAs and by additional mechanisms, activate oncogenic roles promoting cell proliferation, colony formation, migration, and invasion.

Product Notes

The NOVA1 (Catalog #AAA8109958) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-NOVA1 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NOVA1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P). IHC-P: 1:200-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NOVA1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NOVA1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
