Related Product Information for anti-PRKCSH antibody
The protein kinase C substrate 80K-H (PRKCSH) gene encodes hepatocystin that moderates glycosylation and fibroblast growth factor receptor signaling. Mutations in PRKCSH gives rise to polycystic liver disease (PCLD). Hepatocystin functions as the noncatalytic beta subunit of Glucosidases II, an endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-resident enzyme involved in processing and quality control of newly synthesized glycoproteins. PRKCSH codes for the beta-subunit of glucosidase II (hepatocystin), which cleaves two glucose residues of Glc(3)Man(9)GlcNAc(2) N-glycans on proteins. Hepatocystin is thereby directly involved in the protein folding process by regulating protein binding to calnexin/calreticulin in the ER. Patients harboring heterozygous germline mutations in PRKCSH are thought to develop renal cysts as a result of the somatic loss of the second allele, which subsequently interferes with the expression of the TRP channel polycystin-2 (PKD2).

Product Notes

The PRKCSH (Catalog #AAA8108610) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-PRKCSH Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PRKCSH can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC-P: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PRKCSH for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PRKCSH, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
