Preparation and Storage
This antibody can be stored at 2-8 degree C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

(Immunofluorescence staining of DLG4 in A431 cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS,blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with rabbit anti-Human DLG4 polyclonal antibody (dilution ratio 1:100) at 4 degree C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (green) and counterstained with DAPI (blue).Positive staining was localized to Cytoplasm.)

DLG4 maps to a region on chromosome 17p13.1 known to contain a locus for autosomal dominant cone dystrophy 5. Encompassing approximately 30 kb, the DLG4 locus is composed of 22 exons that range in size from 28 to 1, 218 nucleotides. All splice sites conform to the GT-AG rule, except for the splice acceptor site of intron 5, which is TG instead of AG. The Dlg4 gene encodes for post-synaptic density protein 95 (PSD95), a major synaptic protein that clusters glutamate receptors. PSD95 levels are diminished in aging and neurodegenerative disorders. DLG4 was expressed in normal human cells, but only to a limited extent in both HPV-positive and HPV-negative cervical cancer cell lines. DLG4 is a hub protein in the microglial inflammatory response, and genetic variation in DLG4 is associated with structural differences in the preterm infant brain.
