NCBI Description

CLEC9A is a group V C-type lectin-like receptor (CTLR) that functions as an activation receptor and is expressed on myeloid lineage cells (Huysamen et al., 2008 [PubMed 18408006]).[supplied by OMIM, Aug 2008]

Uniprot Description

CLEC9A: Functions as an endocytic receptor on a small subset of myeloid cells and induces intracellular signaling via spleen tyrosine kinase (Syk). Acts as a receptor for necrotic cells and can mediate the cross-presentation of dead-cell associated antigens in a Syk-dependent manner.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, misc.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12p13.2

Cellular Component: cell surface; integral to membrane

Molecular Function: carbohydrate binding

Biological Process: positive regulation of cytokine secretion; receptor-mediated endocytosis

Product Notes

The CLEC9A clec9a (Catalog #AAA767990) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CLEC9A Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CLEC9A can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CLEC9A clec9a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CLEC9A, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
