Principle of the Assay||This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti-Human Myosin-2 antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti-Human Myosin-2 antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the Human Myosin-2 amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of Human Myosin-2 can be calculated.

Myosin heavy chain that is required for the cell cycle-regulated transport of various organelles and proteins for their segregation. Functions by binding with its tail domain to receptor proteins on organelles and exerting force with its N-terminal motor domain against actin filaments, thereby transporting its cargo along polarized actin cables. Involved in the tip growth of root hair cells. Plays a major role in trafficking of Golgi stacks, mitochondria and peroxisomes during root hair development. Targets the peroxisome through an interaction with RABC2A. Required for development of pavement cells, trichomes, and stigmatic papillae.
