Specificity
CD23 low affinity IgE Fc receptor
The CD23 antigen is the low affinity IgE Fc receptor, which is a 49 kDa protein with 38 and 28 kDa fragments.^1 It is expressed on most mature, conventional B cells (but not on peritoneal CD5^+ B cells), and can also be found on the surface of T cells, macrophages and platelets.^1-6 It is distinct from the high affinity IgE receptors found on basophils and mast cells, which mediate allergic reactions. The low affinity receptors are thought to play a role in isotype specific immunoregulation.^3 The regulation of CD23 surface expression appears to be integral with the complex IgE system, which involves interactions of cells, cytokines, antibodies and regulatory factors.^2-6 CD23 has been described as a "membrane bound cytokine," in that the soluble cleavage products of CD23 are themselves able to act as cytokines in vitro.^6
Form/Format
Purified (UNLB) Antibody
Applicable Applications for anti-CD23 (Fc epsilon RII) antibody
Flow Cytometry; Immunoprecipitation
Application Notes
Research Application(s): Differentiation of B cell subpopulations by cell sorting

Flow Cytometry Suggested Dilution: <=1 ug/10^6 cells
Characterization
To ensure lot-to-lot consistency, each batch of monoclonal antibody is tested by flow cytometry to conform to characteristics of a standard reference reagent. Representative data are included in this product insert.
Preparation and Storage
The purified (UNLB) antibody is supplied as 0.5 mg of purified immunoglobulin in 1.0 mL of 100 mM borate buffered saline, pH 8.2. No preservatives or amine-containing buffer salts added. Store at 2- 8 degree C.
The fluorescein (FITC) conjugate is supplied as 0.5 mg in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3. Store at 2-8 degree C.
The biotin (BIOT) conjugate is supplied as 0.5 mg in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3. Store at 2-8 degree C.
The R-phycoerythrin (R-PE) conjugate is supplied as 0.1 mg in 1.0 mL or 0.2 mg in 2.0 mL of PBS/NaN3 and a stabilizing agent. Store at 2-8 degree C. Do not freeze!
The allophycocyanin (APC) conjugate is supplied as 0.1 mg in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3 and a stabilizing agent. Store at 2-8 degree C. Do not freeze!
R-phycoerythrin-Cyanine 7 (R-PE-CY 7) conjugates are supplied as 0.1 mg in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3 and a stabilizing agent. Store at 2-8 degree C. Do not freeze!
The low endotoxin, azide-free (LE/AF) antibody is supplied as 0.5 mg purified immunoglobulin in 1.0 mL of PBS. Aliquot and store at or below -20 degree C.
Protect conjugated forms from light. Aliquot and freeze the low endotoxin, azide-free product at -20 degree C immediately upon receipt. Each reagent is stable for the period shown on the bottle label if stored as directed.

Product Notes

The CD23 (Fc epsilon RII) (Catalog #AAA673263) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rat Anti-Mouse CD23/FCeRII-UNLB reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD23 (Fc epsilon RII) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry; Immunoprecipitation. Research Application(s): Differentiation of B cell subpopulations by cell sorting Flow Cytometry Suggested Dilution: <=1 ug/10^6 cells. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD23 (Fc epsilon RII) for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD23 (Fc epsilon RII), Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
