Performance
Five x 105 ficoll prepared human peripheral blood mononuclear cells per tube were washed and incubated 45 minutes on ice with 80 ul of anti-CD6 antibody at 10 ug/ml. Cells were washed twice and incubated with 2 degree reagent Goat anti-Mouse IgG/FITC, after which they were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. An 82% sub population of the cells stained positive with a mean shift of 1.34 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG1 negative control at a similar concentration.
Production
Antibody was Protein A purified from (low FBS containing) tissue culture supernatant. Purity was >95% Immunoglobulin by SDS-PAGE and contains less than 1% Bovine Immunoglobulin.

Related Product Information for anti-CD6 antibody
Information: Human CD6 is expressed on peripheral blood T cells, most thymocytes and a subset of B cells. CD6 is similar to CD5 and contains three cysteine-rich domains with structural homology to the macrophage scavenger receptor. CD6 is involved in T cell activation and its ligand was recently identified. Antibody UMCD6 recognizes CD6 molecules of approximately 130 kd. Antibody UMCD6 is a useful reagent to study T cell activation through CD6.

Product Notes

The CD6 (Catalog #AAA666676) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The anti-human CD6-Purified (with Antibiotics) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD6 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Western Blot (WB), FX. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD6 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD6, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
