Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Related Product Information for IL1R1 recombinant protein
Recombinant IL-1RA comprises a 152 amino acid fragment (26-177) corresponding to the mature soluble IL-1RA protein and is expressed in E. coli with anamino-terminal hexahistidine tag.

L-1Ra is the natural antagonist of the pro-inflammatory cytokines Interleukin-1 and Interleukin-1. IL-1Ra is produced by a variety of cells including monocytes, macrophages, neutrophils and fibroblasts in response to the binding of various pro-inflammatory cytokines.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine receptor that belongs to the interleukin 1 receptor family. This protein is a receptor for interleukin alpha (IL1A), interleukin beta (IL1B), and interleukin 1 receptor, type I(IL1R1/IL1RA). It is an important mediator involved in many cytokine induced immune and inflammatory responses. This gene along with interleukin 1 receptor, type II (IL1R2), interleukin 1 receptor-like 2 (IL1RL2), and interleukin 1 receptor-like 1 (IL1RL1) form a cytokine receptor gene cluster in a region mapped to chromosome 2q12. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Function: Receptor for IL1A, IL1B and IL1RN. After binding to interleukin-1 associates with the corecptor IL1RAP to form the high affinity interleukin-1 receptor complex which mediates interleukin-1-dependent activation of NF-kappa-B, MAPK and other pathways. Signaling involves the recruitment of adapter molecules such as TOLLIP, MYD88, and IRAK1 or IRAK2 via the respective TIR domains of the receptor/coreceptor subunits. Binds ligands with comparable affinity and binding of antagonist IL1RN prevents association with IL1RAP to form a signaling complex. Ref.11

Subunit structure: The interleukin-1 receptor complex is a heterodimer of IL1R1 and IL1RAP. Interacts with PIK3R1. Ref.9 Ref.10

Subcellular location: Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Cell membrane

Probable. Secreted Ref.7.

Post-translational modification: A soluble form (sIL1R1) is probably produced by proteolytic cleavage at the cell surface (shedding).Rapidely phosphorylated on Tyr-496 in response to IL-1, which creates a SH2 binding site for the PI 3-kinase regulatory subunit PIK3R1. Ref.10

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the interleukin-1 receptor family.Contains 3 Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains.Contains 1 TIR domain.

Product Notes

The IL1R1 il1r1 (Catalog #AAA650823) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Human, Recombinant, E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Interleukin Receptor 1RA can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA). Suitable for use in ELISA.,, Recommended Dilution:, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL1R1 il1r1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Interleukin Receptor 1RA, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
