Rabbit anti-Human SNURF Polyclonal Antibody | anti-SNURF antibody
SNURF, ID (SNRPN Upstream Reading Frame Protein) (MaxLight 750)
FLISA: 1:1,000
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of anti-SNURF Antibody (Center) in Hela cell line lysates (35ug/lane). SNURF(arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human brain tissue reacted with RAB8A Antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(SNURF Antibody (Center) flow cytometric analysis of Hela cells (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene is located within the Prader-Willi Syndrome critical region on chromosome 15. Transcripts produced from this gene initiate at an imprinting center and are paternally-imprinted. These transcripts may be bicistronic and also encode SNRPN (small nuclear ribonucleoprotein polypeptide N) from a downstream open reading frame. The small protein represented by this gene is encoded by an evolutionarily-conserved upstream open reading frame and is localized to the nucleus. Extensive alternative splicing and promoter usage occurs in this region and the full-length nature of some of these transcripts has not been determined. Alterations in the imprinting center are associated with parental imprint switch failure, which may cause Angelman syndrome or Prader-Willi syndrome. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2017]
Uniprot Description
SNURF: a highly basic 71-aa nuclear protein. Encoded with SNRPN on a polycistronic transcript. Play an important role in maintaining differentialy methylated DNA. The gene is imprinted, and disruption of imprinting plays a role in Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS). Translated in normal, but not PWS, human, and mouse tissues.
Protein type: Transcription regulation; Gene silencing
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 15q12
Cellular Component: nucleus

Product Notes
The SNURF snurf (Catalog #AAA6500071) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SNURF, ID (SNRPN Upstream Reading Frame Protein) (MaxLight 750) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SNURF can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), FLISA. WB: 1:50-1:100 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SNURF snurf for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SNURF, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
