Rabbit anti-Mouse, Rat p67 phox Polyclonal Antibody | anti-NCF2 antibody
p67 phox (NCF2, Neutrophil Cytosol Factor 2, 67kD Neutrophil Oxidase Factor, NCF-2, Neutrophil NADPH Oxidase Factor 2, NOXA2) (AP)
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Testing Data
(RAW 264.7 cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with MBS611006 (0.5ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. Arrow indicates p67-phox (67kD).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Immunohistochemistry: Slices from perfused rat brains (0.9% saline and 10% formalin; 40um slices) were used for immunohistochemical staining with MBS611006 (1:2000 incubated for 24 hr). Detection was with a Tyramide Amplification kit. The image shown is of labeled cells in the cortex of a normal male rat brain (magnification is 20X). NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes neutrophil cytosolic factor 2, the 67-kilodalton cytosolic subunit of the multi-protein NADPH oxidase complex found in neutrophils. This oxidase produces a burst of superoxide which is delivered to the lumen of the neutrophil phagosome. Mutations in this gene, as well as in other NADPH oxidase subunits, can result in chronic granulomatous disease, a disease that causes recurrent infections by catalase-positive organisms. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2010]
Uniprot Description
p67phox: NCF2, NCF1, and a membrane bound cytochrome b558 are required for activation of the latent NADPH oxidase (necessary for superoxide production). Interacts with SYTL1 and RAC1. Interacts with NCF4. May interact with NOXO1. Belongs to the NCF2/NOXA1 family.
