NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Voltage-gated potassium (Kv) channels represent the most complex class of voltage-gated ion channels from both functional and structural standpoints. Their diverse functions include regulating neurotransmitter release, heart rate, insulin secretion, neuronal excitability, epithelial electrolyte transport, smooth muscle contraction, and cell volume. This gene encodes a member of the potassium channel, voltage-gated, subfamily H. This member is a pore-forming (alpha) subunit of a voltage-gated non-inactivating delayed rectifier potassium channel. It is activated at the onset of myoblast differentiation. The gene is highly expressed in brain and in myoblasts. Overexpression of the gene may confer a growth advantage to cancer cells and favor tumor cell proliferation. Alternative splicing of this gene results in two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
Kv10.1: Pore-forming (alpha) subunit of voltage-gated non- inactivating delayed rectifier potassium channel. Channel properties may be modulated by cAMP and subunit assembly. Mediates IK(NI) current in myoblasts. Belongs to the potassium channel family. H (Eag) (TC 1.A.1.20) subfamily. Kv10.1/KCNH1 sub-subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The KCNH1 kcnh1 (Catalog #AAA6447394) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The KCNH1 (Potassium Voltage-gated Channel Subfamily H Member 1, EAG, EAG1, h-eag, Kv10.1) (AP) reacts with Human, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's KCNH1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:50-1:200 WB: 1:500-1:2000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KCNH1 kcnh1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KCNH1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
