NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
Function: Probable transcription factor. May be involved in the early anteroposterior patterning of the neuroectoderm. Ref.1
Subcellular location: Nucleus
Probable.
Tissue specificity: In early gastrulae, expressed in the inner layer of the posterior dorsal ectoderm and in non-involuted mesoderm. By the mid-gastrula stage, expressed solely in the posterior ectoderm. At the end of gastrulation, expressed in ectodermal regions fated to become diencephalon, midbrain and hindbrain, and weakly expressed in regions fated to become spinal cord and tailbud. At the neurula stage, expressed in the midbrain and posterior forebrain (diencephalon) but not in the more anterior forebrain (telencephalon). Also expressed posteriorly in rhombomere 5. At tailbud stages, expression remains in the anterior brain and is also detectable along the length of the central nervous system and in the tailbud. Ref.1
Developmental stage: Expression begins in early gastrula stage embryos, peaks at the mid-gastrula stage and remains detectable until late tailbud. Ref.1
Induction: By FGF signaling. Ref.1
Sequence similarities: Contains 1 fork-head DNA-binding domain.

Product Notes
The foxb1 foxb1 (Catalog #AAA643706) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The FOXB1 (Forkhead Box Protein B1, Transcription Factor FKH-5, FKH5) reacts with Bovine, Canine, Human, Mouse, Porcine, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's FOXB1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA). Suitable for use in ELISA. Dilution: ELISA: 1:32,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the foxb1 foxb1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FOXB1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
