Related Product Information for anti-a2-Macroglobulin antibody
Alpha 2-Macroglobulin is a plasma protein mainly synthesized in the liver, which functions as a proteinase inhibitor. It is a tetrameric molecule with a molecular weight of 720kD, and usually occurs in serum at 1000-1500mg/L. Its main. Following conformational change, the proteinase is deposited within a central cavity where it is still active but prevented from further contact with its substrate. Removal of the complex is mediated by the generation of recognition sites which react with receptors on a variety of cells including macrophages and liver cells.

Product Notes

The a2-Macroglobulin (Catalog #AAA620288) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The a2-Macroglobulin (A2M, alpha 2M, CPAMD5, DKFZp779B086, FWP007, S863-7) (Biotin) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's a2-Macroglobulin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC). Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Dilution: Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml. The detection limit for human a2-Macroglobulin is ~5ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. Immunocytochemistry: 5-15ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the a2-Macroglobulin for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "a2-Macroglobulin, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
