NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the interleukin 1 receptor family and is similar to the interleukin 1 accessory proteins. This protein has an N-terminal signal peptide, three extracellular immunoglobulin Ig-like domains, a transmembrane domain, an intracellular Toll/IL-1R domain, and a long C-terminal tail which interacts with multiple signalling molecules. This gene is located at a region on chromosome X that is associated with a non-syndromic form of X-linked intellectual disability. Deletions and mutations in this gene were found in patients with intellectual disability. This gene is expressed at a high level in post-natal brain structures involved in the hippocampal memory system, which suggests a specialized role in the physiological processes underlying memory and learning abilities, and plays a role in synapse formation and stabilization. Uniprot Description
IL1RAPL1: May regulate secretion and presynaptic differentiation through inhibition of the activity of N-type voltage-gated calcium channel. May activate the MAP kinase JNK. Plays a role in presynaptic and postsynaptic differentiation and dendritic spine formation in neurons. Defects in IL1RAPL1 are the cause of mental retardation X-linked type 21 (MRX21). Mental retardation is a mental disorder characterized by significantly sub-average general intellectual functioning associated with impairments in adaptative behavior and manifested during the developmental period. Non- syndromic mental retardation patients do not manifest other clinical signs. Belongs to the interleukin-1 receptor family. 1 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

The IL1RAPL1 il1rapl1 (Catalog #AAA6190717) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IL1RAPL1 (Interleukin-1 Receptor Accessory Protein-like 1, IL-1-RAPL-1, IL-1RAPL-1, IL1RAPL-1, Oligophrenin-4, Three Immunoglobulin Domain-containing IL-1 Receptor-related 2, TIGIRR-2, X-linked Interleukin-1 Receptor Accessory Protein-like 1, OPHN4) (MaxL reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's IL1RAPL1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, FLISA, Western Blot (WB). Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL1RAPL1 il1rapl1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IL1RAPL1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
