Application Notes
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000 EPR-1 is ~62kD protein in detergent solubilized extracts of Jurkat and monocytic THP-1 cells.
ELISA: 1:10,000-1:100,000 using 50-100ng of control peptide/well.
Immunogen
Synthetic 20-aa peptide within the C terminus of human EPR (1).
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Related Product Information for anti-Effector Cell Protease Receptor-1 antibody
The inhibitors of apoptosis proteins (IAPs) are a widely expressed gene family of apoptotic inhibitors. Recently, a new human gene encoding a structurally and unique IAP designated Survivin has been identified. Survivin (human 142 aa, ~16.5kD) is highly expressed in less-differentiated embryonic cells or rapidly dividing tumor cell but not in fully differentiated adult tissues. Interestingly, Survivin coding strand has significant sequence homology with Effector cell Protease Receptor-1 (EPR-1) suggesting a potential for functional interaction between these two proteins.

Product Notes

The Effector Cell Protease Receptor-1 (Catalog #AAA613488) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Effector Cell Protease Receptor-1 (EPR-1) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Effector Cell Protease Receptor-1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Effector Cell Protease Receptor-1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Effector Cell Protease Receptor-1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
