Related Product Information for anti-CD40L antibody
CD40 Ligand (CD40L), renamed TNFSF5 but now also known as CD154, TRAP and gp39, is a 34-39kD type II transmembrane glycoprotein, that belongs to the TNF superfamily, and a surface receptor expressed on activated T cells which acts as a costimulatory molecule to trigger immune responses. CD40L binds to CD40, which is essential in mediating a broad variety of immune and inflammatory responses including T cell-dependent immunoglobulin class switching, memory B cell development and germinal center formation. CD40 is constitutively expressed by antigen presenting cells, including dendritic cells, B cells and macrophages. Consistent with its widespread expression on normal cells, CD40 is also expressed on a wide range of tumor cells. CD40L levels are increased in serum and in inflamed tissues of patients with autoimmune diseases.

Product Notes

The CD40L (Catalog #AAA6120622) is an Antibody produced from Human and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Human Anti-CD40L (CD40 Ligand, CD154, Tumor Necrosis Factor Ligand Superfamily Member 5, TNFSF5, Gp39, TRAP) reacts with Canine, human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD40L can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC), Western Blot (WB). Flow Cytometry: 1ug/ml Western Blot: 1ug/ml Blocking: Neutralizes CD40L function by blocking the interaction between CD40 and CD40L in vitro and in vivo. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD40L for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD40L, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
