Related Product Information for anti-Hsph1 antibody
Hsp 110 (110kD) belongs to a family of large stress proteins referred to as the Hsp110/SSE family (1). The proteins in this family are the most distantly known relatives of the well studied Hsp70 family. Members of this group are significantly larger in size and contain sequences not present in members of the Hsp70 family. The mammalian protein has recently been cloned (1) and found to share 30-33% amino acid identity with members of the Hsp70 family, most of which occurs in the conserved ATP-binding domain of these molecules. Presently, all identified members of the Hsp70-like sequences can be categorized as being members of either one of these two groups; i.e. the DnaK (i.e. Hsp70) family or the Hsp110/SSE family (1). While most stress protein families (20kD, 60kD, 70kD, and 90kD) have been studied extensively, the Hsp110 species has been virtually ignored. Reports to date indicate that Hsp110 is a normal constituent of mammalian cells, it is induced by heat shock and its induction strongly correlates with the expression of thermotolerance (2). Furthermore, Hsp110 has been shown to be associated with the nucleolus (3) and Western blot analysis of several murine tissues indicates that Hsp110 is constitutively expressed at varying levels in all mouse tissues and is highly expressed in brain (1).

Uniprot Description

HSP105: a molecular chaperone of the heat shock protein 70 family. Has ATPase activity. Expressed at especially high levels in mammalian brain and has been shown to suppress apoptosis in neuronal cells and to prevent the aggregation of proteins following heat shock. Known to interact with a variety of proteins including alpha-tubulin and the androgen receptor. Two alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Protein type: Chaperone; Heat shock protein

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; microtubule; cytoplasm; extracellular region; cytosol; nucleus

Molecular Function: protein binding; nucleotide binding; alpha-tubulin binding; ATP binding

Biological Process: positive regulation of NK T cell activation; chaperone cofactor-dependent protein folding; positive regulation of MHC class I biosynthetic process; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; negative regulation of neuron apoptosis; response to unfolded protein

Product Notes

The Hsph1 hsph1 (Catalog #AAA611330) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Heat Shock Protein 110 (HSP110) reacts with Bovine, Hamster, Human, Monkey, Mouse, Rat, Sheep, Yeast and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Heat Shock Protein 110 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot. Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml (colorimetric) Optimal dilution to be determined by researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Hsph1 hsph1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Heat Shock Protein 110, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
