Applicable Applications for anti-CCL7 antibody
ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Neutralization
Application Notes
Neutralization: To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity (50ng/ml), a concentration of 1.75-3.0ug/ml of this antibody is required.
ELISA: Detection by direct ELISA (using 100ul/well antibody solution), requires a concentration of at least 0.5ug/ml of antibody. This antigen-affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows detection of 0.2-0.4ng/well.
Immunohistochemistry: To be determined by the researcher.
Western Blot: Use at a concentration of 0.1-0.2ug/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit is 1.5-3.0ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Immunogen
Highly purified (>98%) recombinant antigen.
Country of Origin
USA
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20 degree C. When reconstituted in sterile water to a concentration of 0.2mg/ml the antibody is stable for at least six weeks at 2-4 degree C.
Related Product Information for anti-CCL7 antibody
Human macrophage/monocyte chemotactic protein-3 (MCP-3) is a 8.5kD protein containing 76 amino acids residues. It plays an important role in the inflammatory response of blood monocytes, tissue macrophages, and eosinophils. The gene encoding this protein encodes monocyte chemotactic protein 3, a secreted chemokine which attracts macrophages during inflammation and metastasis. It is a member of the C-C subfamily of chemokines which are characterized by having two adjacent cysteine residues. The protein is an in vivo substrate of matrix metalloproteinase 2, an enzyme which degrades components of the extracellular matrix. This gene is part of a cluster of C-C chemokine family members on chromosome 17q.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes monocyte chemotactic protein 3, a secreted chemokine which attracts macrophages during inflammation and metastasis. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

CCL7: Chemotactic factor that attracts monocytes and eosinophils, but not neutrophils. Augments monocyte anti-tumor activity. Also induces the release of gelatinase B. This protein can bind heparin. Binds to CCR1, CCR2 and CCR3. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17q11.2-q12

Cellular Component: extracellular space; extracellular region

Molecular Function: heparin binding; CCR1 chemokine receptor binding; chemokine activity; CCR2 chemokine receptor binding

Biological Process: cellular calcium ion homeostasis; monocyte chemotaxis; regulation of cell shape; cell-cell signaling; eosinophil chemotaxis; response to gamma radiation; immune response; cytoskeleton organization and biogenesis; inflammatory response; chemotaxis; signal transduction; positive regulation of cell migration

Product Notes

The CCL7 ccl7 (Catalog #AAA610879) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MCP3 (Macrophage/Monocyte Chemotactic Protein 3) (Biotin) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MCP3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Neutralization. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCL7 ccl7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MCP3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
