Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Related Product Information for anti-CDC42BPA antibody
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the Serine/Threonine protein kinase family. This kinase contains multiple functional domains. Its kinase domain is highly similar to that of the myotonic dystrophy protein kinase (DMPK). This kinase also contains a Rac interactive binding (CRIB) domain, and has been shown to bind CDC42. It may function as a CDC42 downstream effector mediating CDC42 induced peripheral actin formation, and promoting cytoskeletal reorganization. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, and the full-length nature of two of them has been reported.

Uniprot Description

MRCKA: Serine/threonine-protein kinase which is an important downstream effector of CDC42 and plays a role in the regulation of cytoskeleton reorganization and cell migration. Regulates actin cytoskeletal reorganization via phosphorylation of PPP1R12C and MYL9/MLC2. In concert with MYO18A and LURAP1, is involved in modulating lamellar actomyosin retrograde flow that is crucial to cell protrusion and migration. Phosphorylates: PPP1R12A, LIMK1 and LIMK2. May play a role in TFRC-mediated iron uptake. Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. AGC Ser/Thr protein kinase family. DMPK subfamily. 6 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Kinase, protein; Protein kinase, Ser/Thr (non-receptor); EC 2.7.11.1; Protein kinase, AGC; AGC group; DMPK family; GEK subfamily

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1q42.11

Cellular Component: leading edge; cytoplasm; actomyosin; intercellular junction

Molecular Function: protein serine/threonine kinase activity; identical protein binding; protein binding; magnesium ion binding; ATP binding

Biological Process: cell migration; regulation of catalytic activity; actomyosin structure organization and biogenesis; actin cytoskeleton reorganization; microtubule cytoskeleton organization and biogenesis; protein amino acid phosphorylation; nuclear migration

Product Notes

The CDC42BPA cdc42bpa (Catalog #AAA606191) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CDC42 Binding Protein Kinase alpha (CDC42-binding Protein Kinase alpha, DMPK-like alpha, CDC42BPA, FLJ23347, KIAA0451, Myotonic Dystrophy Kinase-related CDC42-binding Kinase alpha, Myotonic Dystrophy Protein Kinase-like alpha, Serine/threonine-protein Kin reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CDC42 Binding Protein Kinase alpha can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 ELISA: 1ug/ml-3ng/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CDC42BPA cdc42bpa for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CDC42 Binding Protein Kinase alpha, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
