NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene localizes to focal adhesions, regions of the plasma membrane where the cell attaches to the extracellular matrix. This protein crosslinks actin filaments and contains a Src homology 2 (SH2) domain, which is often found in molecules involved in signal transduction. This protein is a substrate of calpain II. A second transcript from this gene has been described, but its full length nature has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The TNS1 tns1 (Catalog #AAA6009523) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TNS1 (Tensin-1, TNS) reacts with Bovine, Canine, Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TNS1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: ELISA: 1:2000 Western Blot: 1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 4-6ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TNS1 tns1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TNS1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
